it's the music meme that never dies!
Music on my hard drive: actually on my hard drive? 343 songs, 1 day 43 minutes, 1.5 GB. but this laptop only has a 10 GB drive. there are another 3,000 or so on my iPod.
Song playing right now: Strathcona Slung, by the delgados
The last CD I bought: uhh, durrrr. do iTunes albums count? then it's i am the fun blame monster, by menomena. the last song was Peaches's cover of Gay Bar. the last actual CD i got was a gift, and it was the Seventeen Seconds remasters.
Five favorite songs:
awww, hell. i know it's lame, but i can't just name 5 songs. so here are 5 songs that are my favorite in a category.
favorite cure remaster track: fire in cairo
favorite beatles song: rain
favorite 15 minutes of feedback: my father, my king
favorite britney spears cover: hit me baby one more time, as performed by travis
favorite song in a hair product commercial: train
favorite recent show tune: my girlfriend, who lives in canada
that's a totally crap list. i gave you an extra song, because it's so crap i felt guilty.
Time to pass the baton to:
i seriously can't think of anyone i know who blogs and hasn't done this thing yet. if i do, i'll pass it later.
I don't have a blog... but I stumbled upon yours, because when you are up at 4am avoiding the pile of papers to grade and listening to the wheezing of your poor baby girl breathing through her cold stuffed nose, you wonder about people... and then you google them :) The internet is a wonderful thing. I don't have your most recent email address - we moved, life has been crazy, and I just wanted to say hi and do a little reconnecting. Then, I read your blog and I remembered how much I love to read your writing - written any fabulous columns lately? Love the knitting - your mom must have been so proud :)
Hope you and yours are well. Since my mom passed last year have been thinking about you quite a bit and wondering about you and your family - I feel a kind of kindred connection to you...
Life has been happening to me a lot this year - good things and bad. I'm a wife (though my name is the same, that shouldn't shock you) and a mom, which still shocks the hell out of me... we live in Massachusetts which is also a major shock to me. anyway, email me if you want to reconnect, otherwise, perhaps I will see you next Labor Day at a reunion?
Hope to hear from you,
Your girlscout, 4th grade guinea pig caretaking buddy :)
